About HawkeSmith
HawkeSmith is built by CodeHawke, an independent studio that builds games and the tools to build them — at the same time, on purpose.
Every tool in HawkeSmith exists because we needed it while building our own games. When the AI assistant wires up a pause menu, spawns a combat system, or retargets a character rig, it's running the same tools we used to ship real gameplay — not demo-ware written to inflate a tool count.
What we believe
Nothing happens without your say-so.
AI assistants are powerful and wrong often enough that un-reviewed automation inside your project is a liability. Every mutation HawkeSmith makes is previewed in an approval queue before it touches your project, and can be undone after.
Your data stays yours.
Bring your own API keys. Prompts go from your machine straight to your chosen AI provider — never through our servers. No telemetry, no prompt harvesting, no middleman API markup.
Buy it once.
Local software should be owned, not rented. HawkeSmith is a one-time purchase with a perpetual license — no subscription, no credit treadmill.
Composites over primitives.
"Spawn an actor" is a primitive any tool can offer. "Create a playable character with input, camera, and animation wired" is what actually saves you a day. We build the second kind.
The store
The component store extends the same idea: complete game systems — menus, UI flows, and more — that the plugin doesn't just download but installs and wires into your project for you.
