Terms of Service
Effective date: July 5, 2026
1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of exarostudio.com and your purchase of Exaro Studio licenses and store components from CodeHawke ("we", "us"). By using the site or buying a product, you agree to them. The plugin software itself is also governed by the end-user license agreement (EULA) included with it; if the EULA and these terms conflict about the software, the EULA wins.
2. What you're buying
- Exaro Studio is a monthly subscription: the full toolkit, updates while subscribed, and a monthly marketplace credit (a dollar balance), on the plan you choose. After twelve consecutive paid months you keep a fallback license to the last version you downloaded — the details are in the EULA.
- Store components are one-time purchases — paid with included credit or by card. They are installed into your project by the plugin and are yours to keep and use in your projects, including commercial games you ship, even if your subscription ends.
- A license is for you (or your studio seat). One license key, with a reasonable number of machine activations for your own machines. Don't share, resell, or publish your key.
3. What you may not do
- Redistribute the plugin or store components themselves — as source, packaged, or inside another tool or marketplace listing. (Shipping a game that was built with them is what they're for; reselling them is not.)
- Circumvent license validation, or use one license across a whole team.
- Use the site or software to break the law or infringe others' rights.
4. Your API keys and AI providers
Exaro Studio is bring-your-own-keys. You are responsible for your accounts and costs with AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or others), and your use of them is governed by their terms. AI-generated output can be wrong: the plugin previews mutations and asks for your approval, and you are responsible for reviewing what you approve and for what ends up in your project.
5. Refunds
See our refund policy. Short version: 14 days, no questions asked, if the license hasn't been activated; activated licenses and installed components are handled case-by-case, and we're reasonable.
6. Ownership
We own the plugin, the components, and this site. You own your projects and everything you make with the tools — including content that store components install into your project, which you may modify and ship freely as part of your games. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the product without obligation to you.
7. Disclaimers
The software and site are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Game development tooling operates on your project files — keep your projects under version control and back them up. We do not warrant that the software is error-free or that it will work with every engine version, plugin combination, or AI provider.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CodeHawke is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including lost profits, lost data, or corrupted projects — and our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so parts may not apply to you.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach these terms (for example, key sharing or redistribution) and don't fix it after we notify you. You can stop using the product at any time; sections that by nature survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits) survive.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; material changes get a new effective date above and, for customers, an email heads-up. Questions: support@codehawke.com.
11. Trademarks
Unreal® and Unreal Engine® are trademarks or registered trademarks of Epic Games, Inc. Exaro Studio is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Epic Games, Inc.
